My prayer for Haiti today comes from Psalm 61.
Hear their cry, O God;
Give heed to their prayer.
From the end of the earth let them call to you when their heart is faint;
Lead them to the rock that is higher than themselves.
For You are their refuge, a tower of strength against the enemy.
Let them dwell in Thy tent forever;
Let them take refuge in the shelter of Thy wings.
May they find that YOU, O LORD, are their home.
O LORD, who may abide in Thy tent?
Who may dwell on Thy holy hill?
He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness,
And speaks truth in his heart.
He does not slander with his tongue,
Nor does evil to his neighbor,
Nor takes up a reproach against a friend;
In whose eyes a reprobate is despised,
But who honors those who fear the LORD;
He swears to his own hurt, and does not change;
He does not put out his money at interest,
Nor does he take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things will never be shaken.
Psalm 15
May they set you Lord continually before them;
Because You are at their right hand,
They will not be shaken.
Psalm 16:8
