Bheki and Josiah (our son) became friends back in 2005 when they both attended Joy Mission’s Emmanuel Bible College here in Swaziland. Their friendship is unique and Bheki has become family to us.  The last time Josiah saw Bheki was one year ago when Bheki traveled to America to be in Josiah’s wedding.  What an honor and a gift it was to have Bheki there. (Josiah and Meredith were married May 31, 2008!)

Josiah and Meredith arrived in Swaziland last Friday and they are now reunited with Bheki and his wife, Nombulelo, and little boy named Praise. The treasure of friendship that crosses cultures and enjoys shared faith is one of the greatest delights of being here.  I am thankful for the way that God meets with us through people. He provides the friendship that we need. He encourages, teaches, sharpens, comforts, and partners with us through our brothers and sisters in Christ.   What a beautiful family He’s given us.

Below is a picture of the three of them Sunday morning at Pastor Bheki’s church.  They are doing great! Josiah got to preach and Meredith is getting some time in at the hospital using her compassionate nursing skills.  They will be with Bheki and Nombulelo for about 4 weeks.
