Prayer for Swazi

We are returning to Swaziland this month! How grateful I am for the opportunity to reunite with the gogo’s and children that I’ve grown to love.  I am eager to see our Swazi “son” Bheki and his family. I am longing to walk with the staff there who are engaged in tremendous work.  Oh the relief my heart feels as the reality of the next steps in our Swazi journey are set before us!

In preparation I am  reviewing pictures and names and stories and Siswati. With both tears and laughter I face the Father on behalf of this country and ask you to join me in praying…

Arise, O LORD; O God, lift up  Thy hand.

Do not forget the afflicted.

Oh Lord You have been the helper of the orphan.

You have heard the desire of the humble.

Please strengthen their hearts

and incline Your ear to their cry.
Vindicate the orphan and the oppressed.
Because of the devastation of the afflicted,
because of the groaning of the needy,
arise Oh Lord and set them in the safety
for which they long.
Let them drink their fill
of the abundance of Thy house;
and give them to drink
of the river of Thy delights.

For with Thee is the fountain of life.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
